An Insiders Guide To The Best Waterparks In Mallorca

I’m not going to lie—I’m a big fan of waterparks and have visited more than my fair share across Europe! To my delight there is an incredible array of Waterparks in Mallorca, which I have been visiting for the last twenty years, so I feel like I’m well placed to cast my eye over what watery fun Mallorca has to offer.

Of course, Mallorca has the perfect warm and sunny climate for your classic waterpark. All parks take advantage of an outdoor setup, so you can relax by the pool when taking a break from the action. Mallorca has three classic waterparks. There are other smaller ones linked to hotels, but I have focused on the classic stand-alone waterpark for this blog post.

AqualandEl Arenal

Aqualand

Autovia Palma Arenal Km 15, 07600 El Arenal, Balearic Islands

Located in the South East, Aqualand is the largest waterpark in Mallorca, and it is also my personal favorite. With 18 attractions, including 11 high-adrenaline rides, Kamakaze and Anaconda are a must for anyone who loves a high-octane water slide!

There are also three family attractions perfect for going on with younger family members, the best of which is The Grand Canyon, a raft where you can all go on at once, and it is great fun!

Waterpark

Then there’s a dedicated Kidzworld with four attractions, meaning kids can have their own fun while you hit the big rides.

Finally, like any good water park, there’s a chill-out sunbathing section and a food court (please note that they do charge for the sun beds). You can bring your own packed lunch if you want something more than the usual fast food on offer, which I would recommend as the food is expensive for the quality.

Prices

  • Adult 33 Euros (Over 10 years)
  • Child 25 Euros  (5-10)
  • Mini 14.50 Euros (3 – 4 years)
  • Family Pack (2 Adults / 2 children) 107 euros
  • Friends (4 adults) 123 Euros
  • 0 – 2 years free of charge

Open May – September

Western Waterpark, Magaluf

Western Waterpark

Camí Cala Figuera, 12-22, 07181 Calvià, Illes Balears

The Western-themed waterpark is conveniently located Southwest of the island behind Magaluf, in Calvia. It is your classic waterpark layout, with a good range of attractions for adults and kids alike. If you love adrenaline filled fun then there’s seven attractions to choose from, including my favourite Huracan & Cola del Diablo. Family wise there’s plenty of options with six to choose from. The best of which is Gran Canon, striking the perfect balance, making it fun for adults and not too scary for the kids. Again, kids have their very own section with four attractions, meaning they can stay entertained while you hit the big slides!

There’s also a relaxing chill-out and play zone with four attractions and the usual fast food and drinks. You can bring your own packed lunch, if you don’t want usual takeaway fair on offer, something I would recommend as again it is expensive for the quality.

Prices

  • Adult 33 Euros
  • Child 25 Euros  (5-10)
  • Toddler 14.50 Euros (3-4)
  • Family (2 adult / 2 children) 107 Euros
  • Friends (4 adults) 123 Euros
  • *Reduced prices for return visits

Open May – Mid Oct

Hidropark, Alcudia

Avenida Inglaterra, Av. Tucà, s/n, 07400 Port d’Alcúdia, Illes Balears

Hidropark

The waterpark offering is located in the heart of Alcudia in the north of the island. It has more of a family focus as it is smaller than the first two, although there’s still plenty to keep adults and kids entertained. There are less high-octane rides here, with five attractions for thrill seekers the best of which is the Kamikaze, the fastest and steepest in the park. In terms of family fun there’s a range of rides that everyone can go on including the soft track where you can race your family and friends. There’s also a great Kids Zone, Mini Park & Children’s world to keep the children entertained. For me the Hidropark is the best for smaller children of the three parks included in this guide to Mallorca’s waterparks.

Of course, the chill-out zone and pool area are great for family play. There is also a food court with sun beds available, but securing one can be a challenge. You can bring your own packed lunch if you want something other than the fast food on offer.

Prices

  • Adult 30.95 Euros
  • Child 24.95 Euros  (3-10)
  • Seniors 24.95 (60+)
  • Under 3’s (Free)

Open 1 May – End Oct

Katmandu Park, Magaluf

Katmandu Park

Avenida Pedro Vaquer Ramis, 9, 07181 Magaluf, Balearic Islands

My final pick is a little left field, as it’s not your classic waterpark. It is more of a splash park than a full-on Waterpark, but it is so much more than that. I couldn’t not include such a fantastic family day out in this guide.

Katmandu

The Kathmandu theme park has over ten attractions for the whole family. Of course, this includes its very own splash park, a fun family water fortress. So, it’s less about your big high-octane water slides and more about family fun. With multiple twisting slides, drenching buckets, and 150 different elements that makeup the fortress, your average session includes around an hour’s water play.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg though, as the overall park has so much more, with an upside-down house, 4D adventures, Crazy Golf, Soft Play and Desperados theatre featuring an interactive Wild West Adventure. There’s even Zombie’s and Little Princess as alternative options. It really is an amazing family day out!

All prices below include access to the overall park including all the attractions. The beauty of this is if you don’t get around all the attractions on one day you can return another time

In terms of food there is an array of options, it should also be noted you are not allowed to bring in food from outside the park.

Prices

  • Adult 29.50 Euros (12 years +)
  • Children 20.50 Euros (3-12 Years)
  • Toddlers Free (0-3 Years)

Open April – Mid Oct
