Santa Ponca will always have a special place for us. Before we moved here, it was our home away from home for nearly 20 years on our regular visits to the island. So here is our guide to the best restaurants in Santa Ponsa.

Of course, Mallorca is blessed with some incredible eateries. You will find fantastic authentic restaurants in every corner of the island, and Santa Ponca is no different. This is unsurprising given the abundance of fantastic produce on offer for chefs. In many cases, the very ethos of these restaurants is formed by the ingredients available. Mallorca, as always, plays a big part in attracting great talent to live here in Paradise, much to our culinary delight.

Las Olas

Carrer de Ramon de Montcada, 18, 07180 Santa Ponça

If you are looking for the perfect sea view meal, you can’t get closer to this stunning front-line spot with incredible views of Santa Ponca Bay. We have eaten here many times over the years; it’s been fantastic to see this family business flourish. I can honestly say it’s always been great quality and consistent every time. Both in terms of the food and friendly service. Unsurprisingly given the location, they specialize in fresh fish; the grilled seabass is always a favorite, and the paella is one of the best around. You can’t go wrong, though, with anything on the menu: a great spot for the sunset.

Xaloc

Carrer de Ramon de Montcada, 07183 Santa Ponça

Another of Santa Ponca’s long-established family restaurants, which we have been frequenting for many years. Tony and his team deliver consistent quality food, which is excellent value for money, with great attentive service. In fact, most of the team has been with them for many years, which tells its own story. The menu is a bit of a throwback with some classic retro dishes, such as garlic prawns, garlic mushrooms, lasagne, steaks, and fish dishes. The Prawn & Monkfish Kebab is an absolute must! It’s an authentic local restaurant, a must-visit for those visiting Santa Ponca. 

II Tano

Avinguda del Rei Jaume I, 82, 07183 Santa Ponça

Part of the growing Italian restaurant group, the restaurant has been freshly refurbished and occupies a lovely spot in Santa Ponca. Food-wise, it’s a quality Italian offering. As you would expect, they offer fantastic thin-crust pizza and pasta dishes coupled with fish and an array of quality meats. The lasagne and seafood pizza are fantastic, but be sure to leave space for their range of authentic Italian desserts.

Tapas Y Mas

Gran Via Puig des Castellet, 5, 07183 Santa Ponça

The original Tapas restaurant of Santa Ponca. It’s a little off the track in terms of location, but it offers authentic classic Spanish Tapas, Calamari, Gambas, meatballs, and much more. All are made fresh, and the service is attentive and friendly.

Restaurant Sakura

Avinguda del Rei Jaume I, 109, 07180 Santa Ponça

Another long-established restaurant in Santa Ponca offering authentic Chinese and Sushi. It feels every inch a classic Asian restaurant. Having eaten here several times, the food is consistent and good quality. Excellent Chinese or Sushi cuisine in Santa Ponca.

Waina

Avinguda del Rei Jaume I, 101, Local 6, 07180 Santa Ponsa

A relatively new restaurant in Santa Ponca serving Mediterranean-inspired Thai cuisine. The produce is fresh, and the talented team of chefs is producing some fantastic dishes. Everything we had was excellent, but the croquettes, red curry, and desserts were especially good.

Tandoori Station

Avinguda del Rei Jaume I, 99, 07183 Santa Ponça

Being from Derby and Manchester, we have always been spoilt when it comes to great curry. As the quality of Indian restaurants can really vary on the island, we like to include one in all of our area guides. Tandoori Station, owned by the owners of Bombay, is also in Santa Ponca and offers consistent quality curry in a great setting. Perfect for your curry fix.
